Borrowing
All students and workers of The Pedagogical Academy in Lodz are allowed to borrow books from the library. Student may borrow 5 books for 2 weeks, workers 8 books for a month. Any borrower who fails to return a book on time will have to pay a fine of 0,5 PLN for each day. Everybody has to show a student card or a library card (for workers). Other groups of people may use the library for reference only and may not borrow books.
Catalogue and databases
The library offers its access throughout online catalogue. It allows to search by author, title, subject headings and whole record. The library catalogue contains information about all books and periodicals (also the papers) and other publications that the library collects. The users may order and reserve items via Internet and then (within 3 days) get them from the library.
Everyone is allowed to search library international research databases. Some of them are also available via personal computers for those who get the individual login and the password from a librarian. More information (in Polish).
